As a representative of one of the most deprived divisions
in the County, I believe I understand the needs and aspirations of the ordinary man and woman in the street. Over the past
few years, I have witnessed profligate spending by the Tories on extravagances such as duplicate highways like the A1073
and the spending of huge sums of taxpayers money on expensive private education from which only an elite handful benefit.
Lincolnshire has received record financial support from the current Labour Government which,
along with the massive amount of money wasted by the Tories during the past few years, negates their "Lincolnshire's Missing
Millions" campaign.
I am concerned that people will forget the Tory mismanagement during the previous administration
and the lack of investment in the areas and people we, as councillors, serve. The results of the recent local elections appear
to show that a majority of electors in the County were either not aware of what had gone before, or else they condoned the
actions of the Tories. Either way, they were prepared to re-elect them for a further four years. THE LABOUR GROUP WILL BE
VIGILANT AND WILL REPORT BACK TO THE PUBLIC IF AND WHEN WE ARE AWARE OF ANYTHING UNTOWARD.
